Duchovny Wins, Nobody Watches

Leave it to good old double D to take home two Golden Globes for his new series Californication (Best Televsion Series Comedy or Musical & Best Actor Television Series - Comedy or Musical) while nobody was looking.  In fact, Showtime series swept all the top TV categories.  Hmm, where was HBO when the broadcast got whacked?

Barring delays related to the writers strike, Californication is slated to be back for a second season this Spring.

In other Duchovny news, David should be wrapping up filming of X-Files 2 soon.

In other X-Files news, one-time series director David Nutter was at the helm for the pilot of Terminator:  The Sarah Connor Chronicles.  One of the few reasons I'm giving the series a chance.  But c'mon, if I really wanted to watch a bunch of Canadians throw each other into walls, I'd watch hockey.  DISCLAIMER:  Use of actual Canadians may have been fictionalized for this joke.

In other Showtime news, the series Dexter (starring Golden Globe winner and Six Feet Under alum Michael C. Hall) is coming to CBS.  I'm glad to get the chance to see it, since I'm too cheap to get Showtime and too lazy to download it, but if CBS turns it into another CSI (CSI:  Serial Killer!), I'm going to stab them in their little unblinking eye!
